šŸ’” Before you begin:

In accordance with the Mutual Funds Association of Pakistan (MUFAP) Regulations, you can download the official Procedure for Complaint Handling PDF attached at the end of this article.

1. Overview

We are committed to maintaining a fair, transparent, and secure environment for all investors. If you encounter an issue that cannot be resolved through our standard customer support, you can lodge a formal complaint through MUFAP's regulatory framework.

2. What Types of Issues Can You Report?

You can file a formal complaint regarding any serious regulatory, legal, or ethical concern involving a Regulated Person or Service Provider:

  • Financial Misconduct: Theft, fraud, forgery, misrepresentation, or unauthorized trading and redemption of units.

  • Investment Concerns: Unsuitable investment advice or improper financial leveraging.

  • Privacy Breaches: Breaches of customer data confidentiality.

  • Ethical Violations: Breaches of the code of conduct, undeclared outside occupations, or improper personal financial dealings.

3. Official Filing Channels

You can submit your complaint directly to MUFAP through any of the following channels:

  • Digital Portal: Submit online via the Digital MUFAP Complaint Management System (DCMS).

  • Email: Send your concern to [email protected].

  • Written Mail: Send a physical letter to MUFAP's address: 207-209, 2nd Floor, Kassam Court, Block 5, Clifton, Karachi.

Note: Please ensure your name and contact details are clearly provided, as anonymous complaints are generally not processed unless they raise industry-wide systemic concerns.

4. The 5-Step Resolution Process

  • Step 1 (Ticket Generation): An Authorized Officer (AO) reviews your submission and issues a unique Ticket Number.

  • Step 2 (Provider Response): The complaint is sent to the service provider, who must respond within 5 working days.

  • Step 3 (Tracking & Evidence): Progress is tracked, and any missing documents or details are collected from either party.

  • Step 4 (Record Examination): The AO reviews all evidence, responses, and rejoinders to finalize the case file.

  • Step 5 (Final Conclusion): The Chief Regulatory Officer (CRO) reviews the record to resolve the issue, initiate regulatory action, or refer the case to arbitration.

5. Timelines & Appeals

  • Resolution Timeframe: The complete process—from initial acceptance to final decision—is targeted for completion within 30 working days.

  • Right to Appeal: If you or the provider disagree with the CRO's final decision, an appeal may be submitted to the Regulatory Affairs Committee (RAC) within 15 working days of receiving the order.

6. Customer Recommendation

Always keep a copy of your initial complaint, supporting receipts or evidence, ticket number, and email correspondence for your own records.
